The Geo Scientist Society Gilgit-Baltistan is dedicated to promoting geosciences, collaboration, and sustainable development in the region. Here are some key highlights about the society:

  1. Purpose:

    • It aims to enhance the understanding and Collaboration among the geoscientist of Gilgit baltistan and to bridge them with Geo scientists of whole Country.
    • It aims to work for the establishment of Geo Science Council of Pakistan
    • It aims in enhancing the research quality in Geo sciences domains in Gilgit Baltistan
    • It aims to work in collaboration with different NGOs and Government organizations for the capacity building of Geo scientist 
    • It aims in working in guidance in fresh graduates in fostering scholarships for higher studies and Jobs
    • It aims in sustainable development of the geological resources in Gilgit-Baltistan.
    • The society plays a crucial role in supporting scientific research and exploration in the region, which is rich in mineral resources.

  2. Current Activities:

    • The society has started a membership campaign to involve more professionals and enthusiasts in geosciences.
    • The Society is working on uniting the Geo scientists of whole Pakistan. 
    • The Society is organizing online and on ground workshops for fresh gradutes 

  3. Achievements:

    • The society has been officially registered with the Registrar of Societies in Gilgit-Baltistan.
    • It is recognized as a platform for fostering dialogue and collaboration among geologists, mining engineers, and related professionals.
